Here’s the answers to our most frequently asked questions….
When can I visit & taste your wines? We’re open Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays 12-5. Our last tastings begin one hour before closing.
What wines are available for tasting?
Each week we will have a seasonal selection of that showcases what we grow and make right here, including new releases and winery favorites of both whites and reds to choose from.
How much is a tasting? Our tasting includes a flight of wines for $10. We are happy to waive two tastings with a 3 bottle purchase.
Do I get to choose which wines?
With the new rules we have to serve the wine flights at one time, we are asking each group to choose out of our selection of open wines and share flights.
How many people in a group can come in to taste?
We can accommodate groups of up to 6.
Groups of 7 or more can reserve a private room or space at St Josef’s.
Can our group of seven or more come in and do a tasting?
Not without a reservation at least 72 hours in advance. Our seating areas are set up with tables for up to six people. We encourage you to enjoy our wines by the glass or bottle. Groups of 7 or more can reserve a private room or space at St Josef’s.
Is there food available?
We’re a winery – not a restaurant. But we love to nibble on some light bites when we’re enjoying wines and you should too. We serve some light bites including our delectable charcuterie boards- a lovely assortment of meat, cheese and other items. Perfect for pairing with wines and friends. Along with local nuts and other snacks. On summer weekends we usually have a rotating cast of local food carts that will hit the spot. We’re not a restaurant so if you’re looking for a substantial meal we suggest you visit one of the local spots that serve our wines including Wayward Sandwiches, Filberts Farmhouse, the Markum Inn, Siren Song and Cutsforth Thriftway.
Can picnic on the property?
We allow picnics at the pond amphitheater & crush pad patio area during our normal business hours Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays 12-5pm. (except during special events). No outside beverages are allowed at any time.
We don’t allow outside food or drink in the winery, fountain courtyard, Lilli Pad Shed or tasting room deck areas. Charcuterie boards, local nuts and local chocolates are available for purchase.
We are not doing tastings at the pond or crush-pad patio, but you can purchase wines by the glass or bottle to enjoy. We ask that you spend a minimum of $25 per person to help pay for the upkeep and keep us in business. ($25 dollars equates to one glass of wine plus a bottle of white wine to take home).
Are Children or Dogs Allowed?
Dogs & minors are allowed, but it is a winery, not a park or playground. They will need to be supervised or on the leash at all times.
Animals are not allowed in the winery or tasting room at anytime and not on the grounds during special events. Normally dogs on the grounds are OK- but every dog is different. (We aren’t worried about your dog misbehaving- but someone else’s…).
