Planted in 1978, with our first ‘legal’ vintage in 1983, St. Josef’s is one of the original Oregon wine pioneers. Our goal is to make food-friendly wines that can enhance any meal without breaking the bank as well as a line of reserve oregon wine to enjoy on special occasions (like Tuesdays). We raise our own grapes from our five estate vineyards, maintained without the use of irrigation, harsh chemicals or pesticides. We’ve earned both Salmon Safe and Live certifications for our sustainability.
Join us for seasonal winemaker’s dinners and winery events including the Sunday Summer Music on the Pond & our Fall Grapestomping Festival. Prosit! For more on our events and event possibilities, CLICK HERE.
Visit and enjoy our oregon wine and casual European style hospitality.
For our stewardship of the land we have received Salmon Safe certification and LIVE sustainability awards; and are proud to be a part of the 1% of NW vineyards that have achieved this level of sustainability. For more on our oregon vineyards, CLICK HERE.
Fruit from our own vineyards combined with our hands-off winemaking style helps us create wines that are distinct and brimming with flavor. Our goal is to make food-friendly wines that can enhance any meal without breaking the bank; as well as a line of reserve oregon wine to enjoy on special occasions (like Tuesdays). We are proud to be a family owned and operated winery & vineyards just 30 minutes south of Portland, Oregon. Our philosophy is simple – that we grow & make outstanding oregon wine – and have a good time doing it! The Fountain Patio, adjacent to the Winery Tasting Room, features an outdoor seating area and large terra cotta colored fountain. Shaded by umbrellas and surrounded by the winery gardens, the patio has been a longtime favorite venue for family and guests alike. Guests often start with hors d’oeuvres & wine lingering around the outdoor fire pits, watching the winery activities before sitting down to an alfresco event in the midst of the vineyards.
The Wine Stube is a cozy and intimate event room reached through the double carved doors at the entrance to the winery. Originally the tasting room it houses a professional kitchen and features a large back deck with views of the adjacent vineyards and hillsides. The Wine Stube has seating for up to 64, while the hand-made tables and vintage label art on the walls complete the room’s warm, welcoming feel.
The Fest Halle is a large joyful space adjoining the Wine Stube. It features high ceilings, painted floors and large vineyard mural covering one wall. The Fest Halle was originally the winery bottling room and this accommodating space that works either as a seating area or equally well as a dance floor. The room opens up to Fountain Patio by large double doors for added event flexibility.
The three tiered garden in the middle of the vineyards is one of the highlights of St Josef’s Winery. A naturally spring fed pond that covers 3 acres it features a cobblestone stage area on the edge of the water. A fabulous picture spot with 100 rose bushes and heather; which bloom nearly year-‘round under the green thumb of our crew. The lawn area and tiers are often used for music events and wedding ceremonies and can accommodate up to 300 guests.
Perfect for a business outing, reunion, this brick patio area overlooks the pond and creek area- but is secluded from the rest of the winery. In the fall the Crush Pad Patio is the hub of activity for harvesting and pressing the grapes into wine. This large space can accommodate over 200 people plus food carts, tents and more. It boasts a separate seating area with fire pit, astro-turf bocce court and putting green.
