Spring is in the air and in the vineyard!
The few days of warm sun combined with the typical Oregon moisture has us off to a good year in the vineyard.
And we have several of last years grapes now ready in the bottle for you to try!
New Release! 2013 St Josef’s Pinot Gris-
This grape has become the preeminent white wine of Oregon. Crisp, with bright acidity, this wine is ‘oak free’- light, fruity with a hint of apples and pear on the nose. A perfect white wine to enjoy every day.
New Release! 2013 St Josef’s “L’ESPRIT” Gewürztraminer-
One of our most popular and very unique to St Josef’s. Grapefruit & spice up front and a slight bit of effervescence, followed by an off-dry finish with great balance. A tribute to the great wines of the Alsace.
New Release! 2013 St Josef’s Pinot Rose’
The perfect summer sipper! Pinot Noir made as a white wine- the juice is drained from the skins at harvest leaving a lovely soft, dry wine with perfect pink tones. Great with food, or on its own with a sunny afternoon.
Lot 22- BIG BOTTLE- Starling Hill ‘10 Pinot Noir- Special Reserve
Made from our favorite rows from a single block in our hillside vineyard – where we’re lucky to harvest a little fruit before the birds eat everything! The extra sunshine and jory soils add to the complexity and we aged this lot entirely on new oak to add a rich, vanilla texture. An outstanding vintage for Pinot- dark ruby, velvety and smooth! This magnum of wine is a special occasion waiting to happen!
Kitara 2010 Syrah- New Release!
Enjoy this special wine club bottling of 2010 barrel select Syrah. Named for the son ‘Kirk’ & daughter ‘Tara’ it is a cool climate wine that goes well with food- but doesn’t over power it. Enjoy the red fruit flavors and rich, deep color with raspberry notes and plum on the finish.
St Josef’s 2011 Merlot – new release
Fruit forward style with ripe cherry with pepper & plum’ light oak, soft tannins and finish. Medium bodied that’s a great fit for many foods.
